Ever since I moved out and got my own little apartment, I have loved adding greenery to my home. I never really payed much attention to plants before. However, I have grown fond of spending time with my plants. I think I’ve become a plant lady (I still love cats don’t worry). It is one of the rare moments I can truly relax, while I spend time with my plants (which almost sounds like spending time with your family or loved ones). Anyone else have this? No? Just me then.
I was in desperate need of a little city break so we decided to go for a little weekend away to Rotterdam, a vibrant and lively city in the Netherlands. I live in Belgium so it wasn’t too far away and we got there without any delays. I feel like there is no better way to start of my Rotterdam post series with a mouth-watering blog post for all of you food-lovers.
It has been a couple of years since I have last chatted about music on Ella Was Here. And I really miss it! Music is a big part of my life. I mean, I know I can’t sing, or dance, or play an instrument properly but I feel so lost whenever I don’t have my music with me.
I have always had a great love for books. In matter of fact, I really should put a temporary ban on my book buying habits. I just don’t have any more room to put even more books at the moment! But sometimes, I just can’t help it. Even though a big part of the books that I read are fiction novels I do fall in love with a great lifestyle book once and a while.
The Japanese Garden in Hasselt, Belgium, is one of my favourite places to visit for a relaxing walk during the weekend. It is absolutely breath-taking this time of year with the blossoms making the garden just a tad extra special. I didn’t have the chance to go during the spring time the past few years, but this year I finally made in time to see the garden in bloom!
